The fun is starting! I hope you enjoyed running around achieving the tasks of the culture challenge, as well as the Uighur dinner! Thanks Matt for resisting the temptation to smoke the apple bong! And it was interesting to see that Jo memorised parts of the book "From Monogamy to Polygamy", just weeks before her wedding!
Anyway, there is much work to be done! Just a reminder of the task list for this week:
- Send your police check, 2 passport photos and a $100 cheque to I/S.
- Research topic on CAR for this Sunday's culture session.
- Prepare your supporters' brochure.
- Form your support team of 10 people.
- Continue your journalling - starting with the expectations questions.
- Think of more fundraising ideas.
- Think of ministry ideas - both for the team and for yourself.
Now - stop reading blogs and surfing the net, and get down to work!

can we send a money order for $100 instead?
p.s. still considering if the apple hookah, aka "bong", is worth the risk or not...
jury is still out on the effects...some say "harmless" others say "as toxic as 18 cigarettes"...lol hmmm
it does look cool though :D
Money order should be no problem.
Let's avoid the bong - i can't help thinking that whilst it might be safe to try, it provide such a good story to tell that news would spread like wildfire (a bit like the fatogram comment), which is, um, not the best image to portray.
I concur with Des, but if you insist on trying it, can you try it BEFORE departure so that Des and I don't have to deal with trying to resuscitate you. I've personally never had to assist in intubating anyone other than in the comforts of my ED! =)
BTW.... what fatogram comment?!
